(Petit 2012) Tet Sev. 4.5" 29" The petal self is a soft cream, and at the center of the flower is a dark green heart. The eye of the flower is made up of several shades of violet, with touches of charcoal and blue. It is surrounded by a burgundy mascara band. The eye continues around the ruffled petal edges as a double, burgundy and blue violet edge. The patterned eye is also mimicked on the sepals, adding an extra level of intrigue.

Substance is very good and flowers hold up to the evening hours. First bloom scapes are partially double, rebloom scapes can be fully double. Because it does not double all the time, it was not registered as a double. Blue Beetle is a breakthrough in blue pattern breeding at the Tet level. 3-4 way branching 18-22 buds. The perfect blooms sit just atop the foliage. The form goes back to the Tetra Ruffled Masterpiece breeding from Gold Baron and the saturated gold color in this case is due to hybridizer's luck having worked in the orange and golds for many years. Typical bud count is 17 with a great deal of instant rebloom.
