(Just Fabulous x Carol Todd) Sev. 7" fl. 32" sc. M 20 buds. Fertile both ways. Good rust resistance. The large, dramatic flowers of Montserrat jump out at you from the top of tall scapes. The dark, shocking blooms can't help grab your attention. The self color is a burgundy wine with a small lettuce green throat. The large eye is a near black burgundy purple, which continues around the petals as a matching picotee. The beautifully ruffled petal edges are surrounded by a second, gold edge. A perfect combination of the shock value of Just Fabulous and the wonderful plant habit of Carol Todd. |

OTHER SIDE OF HEAVEN
Display Only |
(Zoe Allegra x Easter Egg) Sev. 5.5" fl. 29" sc. M 20 buds. I was quite surprised to see this flower come from those two parents. The flowers have a beautiful blue violet pattern eye, consisting of several different colors of lavender, violet and charcoal. The pattern is also clearly mimicked on the sepals, adding an extra dimension to the flower. The petals are a clear near white, giving the flower a very clean base. The petal edges have a violet purple picotee, surrounded by a wire gold edge. The edges are accentuated by bubbly knobs, hooks and horns. The cold hardy plants show good rust resistance. Other Side of Heaven will surely be not only a gorgeous garden flower, but also a very important breeder for blue eyes and patterns on a clear white base, as well as for narrow form flowers. |

PEBBLE IN A POND
Display Only |
(Zoe Allegra) x (Pat Stamile seedling from Rock Solid x Zahadoom) Sev. 4.5" fl. 26-30" sc. M 25-30 buds. Fertile both ways. Pebble In A Pond is a light cream to near white base with a multicolored pattern eye of concentric circles. The shockwave or earthquake pattern is very dramatic, with repeating bands of light and dark. The eye is also large, taking up almost half of the petal surface. The dark purple eye continues around the petal edges as a dark purple picotee. The eye is particularly dramatic against the clear, near white base. The rust resistance is average to good and the plants are cold hardy and have nicely branched scapes. My best parent for shockwave patterns on a light base; when combined with Tet. Texas Kaleidoscope and Tet. Dark Mosaic, the kids have been nothing short of shocking! A must for ricochet pattern eye breeding. |
