INDEPENDENT KNOWLEDGE
Display Only |
(Peat, J. '12) JP-11-04 - Sev-Dor., Fr., M., Re., 32 in. sc.; 5.75 in. fl., 4 way branching with 30 buds. I love the sharks teeth on the near blacks and will probably never stop breeding them until I get a 12 inch bloom on a real black. Here is another in my black breeding with heavy sharks teeth. A dark purple with dark black-purple veining. The petals and sepals are surrounded by a large white edge riddled in white sharks teeth and knobs. Stunning. Fertile both ways. (‘Fortune's Dearest' x 'Baracuda Bay') x 'Spiny Sea Urchin’)) X (‘John Peat' x 'Baby Jane Hudson'). |

INSATIABLE DESIRE
Display Only |
(Peat, J. '12) JP-11-11 - Dor., Fr., EM., Re., 25 in. sc.; 6.5 in. fl., 3 way branching with 28 buds. As much as I love the near blacks with sharks teeth, I am trying to put teeth on everything. 'Insatiable Desire' comes from all tooth breeding and my red eyed cultivars. A dark red flower, with darker red veining and a dark blood-red eyezone above a lime to dark green throat. The toothy gold edge is trying to be white, however, it is mostly gold. The teeth look as though they belong on a chain saw and will cut you if you aren't careful. Fertile both ways. ‘Playful Piranha’ x (‘Vampire's Bite' x ‘Spiny Sea Urchin’). |

LANDON LEE
Display Only |
Petit, T. 2008 - 30" Mid Sev. 6” - A most striking patterned flower. The iridescent applique throat forms a shocking contrast to the dark, bold purple patterned eye. The petal edges lift in the throat area, displaying the dramatically mimicked applique and purple pattern on the sepals. Adding to the overall complexity of the flower is a matching dark purple picotee edge surrounded by a ruffled gold edge, typically with gold hooks and horns. |

LAST SONG
Display Only |
Petit, T. 2009 - 33" Mid SEv 6" - both captivating and serene at the same time. The petal self is a pale cream lavender, with a deep green throat. The flower has a striking triangular patterned eye, which is mimicked on the sepals. The eye is a violet lavender that is made up of two distinct bands: an inner and outer darker lavender mascara band. Between the bands is a lighter lavender violet eye, which contains inward streaking. The flowers are covered in a heavy diamond dusting, sparkling in the sunlight. The overall effect is quite amazing. |
