ALASKAN MIST
Display Only |
(Pat Stamile - 2007) Photo and description courtesy of Floyd Cove Nursery. *ALASKAN MIST (Stamile,P.) TET 36” ERe. emo. no fr. Ev. 6” Light pink base. Beautiful edges are very prominent in this large, very overlapped, and extremely ornate daylily. The ultimate in “fancy” with color, ALASKAN MIST is not just a pretty face. High bud count and branching along with rebloom add to an extremely long blooming cultivar. Plant proportion and habits are exemplary. Fertile both ways. 6-way branching (4 laterals + terminal “Y”). 40-45 buds. |

APRIL LAQUINTA
Display Only |
(Ted Petit - 2007) Description courtesy of Le Petit Jardin (Glacier Bay x Tet. Siloam Ralph Henry) (Belle Cook) Sev. 7 - 8” fl. 30” sc. M 30 buds. Despite its beautiful gold edge, April LaQuinta rarely, if ever, hangs. While many of the modern pinks have thin substance, April LaQuinta has a heavy waxy substance. It is also fertile both ways, easily setting pods. I have taken it to every color, and it has been my best parent for huge, ornate flowers on tall scapes. A magnificent flower and plant. |

CELESTIAL SHORE
Display Only |
(Pat Stamile - FALL 2007) Photos of Pat Stamile's cultivars can be viewed at Floyd Cove Nursery. 30” EMRe. emo. Ev. 6” x 3 ¾” x 2 ¾”. 4-way branching (2 laterals + Y) 30-35 buds. This gorgeous rose violet with a blue lavender eye and double edges of blue lavender and white has been a standout in the early garden that is not especially known for purple. Early blooming purples are especially valued and CELESTIAL SHORE has both the size and drama to garner your attention, easy pod parent and has proved to be a wonderful parent for purples. Easily fertile both ways. |

TET (Jane Trimmer x Hank Williams), semi evergreen. 6” flower, 3-way branching. 25 buds on a 35” scape. CRAZY IVAN is a near-white flower with huge black mahogany eye and edge. This has proven to be an amazing parent, passing along incredible eyes and edges of all colors to its progeny. Fertile both ways. |

Spider ratio 2.9:1. 5-way branching (3 laterals + terminal Y). 25-30 buds. This striking daylily is certainly not round, nor neither a spider nor an unusual form but rather a long petalled daylily with beautiful color. Clear saturated orchid purple with a near black eye and lemon green throat. The blooms are nicely ruffled for a long petalled daylily. |

INTELLIGENT DESIGN
Display Only |
(Karol Emmerich - 2004) Photos of Karol Emmerich's cultivars can be viewed at Springwood Gardens. TET (Mask of Eternity x Ancient Reflections) 34-37”, EM, Sev (but can act as a Dormant in MN), Re, 6-7”, EMO, 3-4 way branching with 2-3 laterals and an average budcount of 15 in MN. Outstanding performer from MN to Alabama. Strongly (and instantly) recurrent. Opens long before any normal person gets up, so needs some afternoon shade to keep it from fading by evening. Pink lavender (lighter than the picture) with a feathered merlot patterned eye. Large green throat extending onto the sepals. Fertile both ways. Super parent for patterned eyes with good scapes and rebloom. |

ISLE OF PATMOS
Display Only |
(Karol Emmerich - 2007) Photos of Karol Emmerich's cultivars can be viewed at Springwood Gardens. TET (Forbidden Desires x Born to Reign), 24”, M, Dor, fr, 6”, 4-way branching (with consistent 3 lats plus V and up to 8-way when established), 25 buds (range of 20-40). Reddish purple with silvery lavender watermark and edge; large yellow/green throat. Great foliage all summer. Very hardy and a good increaser; recovers well after dividing; very dormant despite its parents and will not perform well in a greenhouse. Fertile both ways. |

KING OF THE AGES
Display Only |
(Karol Emmerich - 2007) Photos of Karol Emmerich's cultivars can be viewed at Springwood Gardens. TET 55902 {Light of the World x (Only Believe x Uppermost Edge)}, 38”, M, Sev, EMO, fr, 6 ½”, consistent 4-way branching (2 lats plus V), 20 buds. Clear ivory pink peach apricot (darker apricot on cool nights) with ivory pink midribs; burgundy eye and edge with gold ruffles; yellow to green throat. Not just another eyed daylily! It’s majestic and tall – a surprise given its breeding. Strong scapes; good increaser; great foliage all season; re-establishes quickly after dividing. Trust me – you will love this one! (Please note: scape is large so in year one with one fan the scape may lean a bit – not a problem once it’s established with 2 or more fans.) Kids are tall and well-branched with showy eyes. Fertile both ways but more difficult than average pod-setter. |

TET {Light of the World x (Only Believe x Eyes on the Prize)}, 24”, M, Dor, EMO, fr, 7”, mixed scapes with average of 2 way branching and 15 buds. Puffy apricot peach with orange red eye and edge trimmed in small yellow gold ruffles; gold to green throat. Dramatic flower; midribs make the eye “pop”. Fertile both ways; more difficult than average pod fertility. |

LIGHT OF THE WORLD
Display Only |
(Karol Emmerich - 2003) Photos of Karol Emmerich's cultivars can be viewed at Springwood Gardens. TET {(Wisest of Wizards x Seedling) x Jenny Kissed Me} 24”, M, Sev, 5-½ to 6”, consistent 3-way branching with perfect spacing and 25 buds, EMO even on cold mornings and still looks great at 8PM, greenhouse rebloomer. Soft yellow with a slight pink blush. Feathered rose pink eye and edge; olive throat. Super garden performer – long season with lots of bloom – spectacular in a clump. Hardy and a rapid increaser. Fertile both ways. Good breeder for round, patterned and edged daylilies, as well as doubles. |
